Heat Illness: How to Protect Your Company from OSHA Enforcement

Mark A. Lies, II and Adam R. Young from Seyfarth Shaw LLP will provide an update on heat illness and aggressive OSHA enforcement. An often unhealthy workforce, rising temperatures, and tight labor market has brought heat illness to the forefront for 2022. OSHA has announced a plan to prioritize heat illness enforcement with a new National Emphasis Program and onerous draft regulations. Mark and Adam will illuminate the issue with stories from their front-line defense of heat illness cases. They will then provide practical advice on how employers can tune up their programs, respond to employee incidents, and properly manage OSHA inspections.
