The San Diego American Industrial Hygiene Association (SDAIHA) Local Section is pleased to announce the award of two (2) college scholarships of $500.00 each at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the 2022 Fall Semester. In order to be eligible, each applicant must be enrolled in, or must have completed, a curriculum with a substantial number of credit hours in courses related to industrial hygiene, occupational safety and health, public health, environmental health, environmental science or a closely related field and must meet GPA requirements.

The undergraduate scholarship will be granted to a full-time undergraduate student entering her/his sophomore, junior or senior year at an accredited community college or university in San Diego County, California. The graduate scholarship will be awarded to a full-time graduate student who is enrolled in graduate studies at an accredited university located in San Diego County, California.

1) Applicants must be current full-time students. Such eligibility status is based upon the policy at the California college or university at which the student is enrolled. Applicants must be enrolled in a major field of study that is related to the disciplines of industrial hygiene, occupational safety and health, public health, environmental health, environmental science or a closely related field.

2) Applicants must be currently enrolled in courses leading to a degree at the time that the award.

3) Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.0 (based on a 4.0) overall grade point average (GPA).

4) Applicants must agree to allow the Scholarship Committee to verify certain applicable confidential information such as grades (obtain a transcript). The committee will keep such information confidential.
