2025 SCAIHA Student Scholarship!
Deadline is March 7th!
Dear Industrial Hygiene Student:
Over the years, the Southern California American Industrial Hygiene Section has awarded scholarships to deserving students studying industrial hygiene-occupational health and safety. Building upon this past success, eligibility criteria have been expanded to include more schools than ever before. Any Student/Full/Associate member of the Southern California American Industrial Hygiene Association Section who is attending, or applying to, a qualifying program as listed in the “Scholarship Criteria” section of this document. Eligible students who complete this application will be considered for the scholarship ($2000 first place winner, $1000 second place winner).. These scholarships are awarded based on the availability of funds provided through contributions from the SCAIHA members’ local section. Previous SCAIHA scholarship recipients are NOT eligible to apply.
The 2025 scholarship application process will be available electronically via email to [email protected]. Please see instructions prior to submitting your application.
The application form provides important information to the SCAIHA Selection Committee, which is comprised of practicing industrial hygienists. Please read each question carefully and answer each question fully. It is imperative that you meet the established March 7, 2025, deadline for the completed application and any attachments. The Selection Committee begins its independent review process on March 8, 2025. Incomplete applications and/or applications received after March 7th are ineligible for review.
Applications will be reviewed and judged on the basis of your industrial hygiene/health & safety academic success, professionalism, ethical conduct, past performance etc. . You will be notified in late March of the Selection Committee’s decision. All monies awarded will be distributed in March or April 2025, and all recipients will be recognized publicly at the next Member Meeting of the SCAIHA.
