The Western and Central New York Local Section exists to advance the science and practice of occupational and environmental health and safety by:

* Providing technical education
* Encouraging collaboration among OEHS professionals
* Supporting students and future practitioners
* Strengthening partnerships with industry, government, healthcare, and academia
* Advancing AIHA's mission throughout our region
Our Region
Our Local Section serves professionals throughout 27 counties across Western and Central New York. The Section includes:
Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Erie, Genesee, Jefferson, Lewis, Livingston, Madison, Monroe, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orleans, Oswego, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates are all counties in the state of New York.
What We Do
Throughout the year we offer:

- Continuing education opportunities
- Networking events
- Student engagement
- Joint meetings with partner organizations
Programs are offered in-person, virtually, or in hybrid formats to maximize participation across our large geographic region.

Membership is open to AIHA members as well as individuals with a professional interest in occupational and environmental health and safety.
Whether you are an experienced Certified Industrial Hygienist, safety professional, occupational health practitioner, consultant, researcher, student, or someone interested in protecting worker health, we encourage you to become involved.
