Topic Navigating Regulatory Scrutiny of Ethylene Oxide
Ethylene oxide (EtO) is widely used in the medical sterilization industry. In recent years EtO has undergone intensifying regulatory scrutiny, in large part because of an increased understanding of its cancer potency. Regulatory agencies from the local to national level have revised rules, regulations, and policy and have taken actions that illustrate the increased expectations for employers to protect workers and the surrounding communities where EtO is in use. Join us as we learn about the regulatory landscape and challenges faced by industry operators for compliance with tightening EtO restraints.
