The San Diego American Industrial Hygiene Association (SDAIHA) is a regional chapter of the national American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). Our mission is to promote the objectives of the AIHA within the San Diego area.
The national American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) is a leading source for the latest information and resources related to Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety issues. Founded in 1939, AIHA is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to protecting the health and safety of workers. The organization focuses on the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of contaminants and stressors that may lead to sickness, illness, and impairment among workers and the public.
The SDAIHA holds bi-monthly luncheons, training events, and tours that offer members the latest insights on industrial hygiene and safety topics, networking opportunities, and continuing education. Additionally, our section sponsors at least one Professional Development Symposium (PDS) each year.
