1. Hewlett-Packard Environmental Health and Safety Specialist position
Incumbent will be responsible for the development, facilitation and implementation of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs, with the objective to proactively reduce risks and ensure compliance with regulations and prevent liabilities. Work with the businesses/functions, and key suppliers/contractors to ensure implementation of HP’s EHS management system and standards. Apply advanced knowledge in safety, industrial hygiene, hazardous material management, as well as other EHS topics, to solve complex issues. Exercise significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Lead and/or provide expertise to various teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Provide mentoring, and guidance to lower level employees throughout the country and/or sub-region. Track, review, consult and implement EHS regulations, promulgated by country, state/province and local regulatory authorities for all work activities, including those at customer sites. Communicate with and provide necessary reports to Country, State, and Local governmental agencies, as well as internal partners and customers. Direct and facilitate audits, identify training needs, and lead efforts in preventative injury management, emergency preparedness, chemical management, ergonomics and environmental risk reduction. Accountable for understanding and overseeing EHS costs.

The incumbent will support the San Diego Gas & Electric's (SDG&E) industrial hygiene program, including sampling, procedure/standard revision/development, budget, personnel training and oversight. Provide health and safety support to internal and external stakeholders/customers.
